Two members of the BHS Class of 2014 have been named Boyceville High School's 2014 WIAA Scholar Athletes. April Lake and Bryor Hellmann received medals from the WIAA at this year's awards night held May 28.
Each year, member high schools of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association are invited to nominate one boy and one girl for scholar/athlete honors. The program, which is underwritten by Marshfield Clinic, was launched in 1984 to demonstrate the positive impact of interscholastic athletic activities.
To qualify for WIAA Scholar/Athlete recognition, a nominee must have earned at least four varsity letters through the first half of his/her senior year and must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
In addition to local awards, 32 of the more than 700 students nominated each year are selected for statewide recognition. Four boys and four girls in each of four WIAA divisions are honored at a ceremony on the first Sunday of May each year in Wausau.

Students are required to have a physical every other year in order to particpate in athletics at Boyceville Middle and High School. Failure to have a physical form on file prior to the start of the season will prevent your child from participating.
A Physical is required if your child HAS NOT had a physical since August 1, 2012. A physical form can be found by clicking here. Please note that we no longer use alternate year cards.
All high school students who wish to participate in interscholastic athletics must complete the ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Test) Test in order to establish eligibility. Students in the ninth (9th) and eleventh (11th) grades, along with any new students or athletes that did not test during the 2013-2014 school year are required to take this test. The testing is free, thanks to a grant secured by Mayo Clinic Health Systems - Red Cedar in Menomonie.
Any student that meets the above criteria should contact the athletic department to schedule a time to conduct their ImPACT test.
If you have any questions regarding testing or whether or not your child should be tested, please feel free to contact our athletic department at (715)643-DOGS.
