Close Contact Guidelines
The Boyceville Community School District will use the following options when determining quarantine periods for close contacts:
Recommendation: Follow CDC and DHS recommended quarantine period of 14 days. Students will return on day 15. CDC continues to endorse quarantine for 14 days and recognizes that any quarantine shorter than 14 days balances reduced burden against a small possibility of spreading the virus. This will be the only option for close contacts within the same household and other individual circumstances.
Quarantine Alternative: Your child may return to school/community/work on day 11 of quarantine if your child remains asymptomatic (showing NO symptoms) and provides a signed 14 day symptom self-monitoring log (one will be provided) to school health office staff. Families must provide required documentation daily prior to attending school on days 11, 12, 13, 14.
Covid 19 Symptom Tracker Form
**Student Athletes that choose the Quarantine Alternative and return to school before day 15, will not be allowed to practice fully until day 14. They may attend practice that will be modified to allow for social distancing such as individual skill work, individual conditioning, instruction, and film. Furthermore, athletes will not be able to participate in a game against an opposing school until day 15.

Free Meal Program Extension
The USDA has announced an extension to the free meal program which will enable us to serve breakfast and lunch meals to ALL enrolled students at no cost (like we offered last spring). This extension took effect September 1, 2020, and will be extended through December 31, 2020, or until funding is depleted. This extension will ensure that meals are reaching all children – whether they are learning in the classroom or virtually in their homes and that they are fed and ready to learn, even in this new and ever-changing learning environment.
Please note that ala carte items offered at the Middle and High School are not a part of this waiver and will be charged to your family food service account. Also, if your child only takes a milk and not a full meal, your account will be charged for the milk per the guidelines.
It is still important, however, that families turn in the free and reduced lunch applications, as that is still the basis for many of our grants including Title I, the Achievement Gap Reduction (AGR) program and other State and Federal funding sources.
For families that have opted to do remote or virtual education through Boyceville Schools, your family is also eligible for this opportunity and should contact Vivian Hanestad at 715/643-3647, Ext. 440 or at vivian@boyceville.k12.wi.us for more information and to sign up for the meal program.

Home WiFi options
We know that not all of our families have internet access. Here are a couple of ideas on resources to check out to assist your family in getting connected.
Internet Resources for Wisconsin Residents during Public Health Emergency
Dunn County Internet Providers
Eliminating Data Caps:
Some cell carriers have information on their website about fees and overages. Please reach out to your provider to inquire about any programs they may offer for hot spots or removing data caps.
Verizon: Menomonie store has options. Call 715-233-2150 and ask for Elijah or Mel.
Free Public WiFi at District Schools and Buildings
Our district provides free public WiFi during times that school is not in session. While the district buildings are closed to outside guests, access to the wireless network can be achieved from many of our school district parking lots. We realize this is not ideal, but it is a resource you could utilize.
Free Public WiFi at the Boyceville Public Library
The public library is closed, but the WiFi is on and reaches out to the parking spots on both sides of the building.
