All students will need 24 credits to graduate
15.5 required and 8.5 elective credits
Keep in mind - Universities may require 2 consecutive years
of a Foreign Language for Admission
English - 4 Credits
2 Credits Required from: English 9 and English 10
2 Credits (Elective) from the following Courses:
Genre Fiction, Creative Writing, Creative Non-Fiction, Film and Writing,
Advanced Literature/Composition and Advanced Language/Composition
Social Studies - 3 Credits
3 credits Required from: American History, Global Studies, and Civics
Available Courses after the completion of Civics include:
Psychology, Modern Social Affairs/Sociology and Contemporary American History
Science - 3 Credits
2 Credits Required from: Physical Science and Biology
1 Credit (Elective) from the following Courses:
Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, AP Biology, Local Ecology and Wildlife,
Forensic Science, Small Animal Science, Large Animal Science and CIS Physics
Math - 3 Credits
3 Credits Required from: Consecutive course offerings including:
Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra
Available courses after the completion of Advanced Algebra include:
Pre-Calculus and CIS Calculus
Physical Education - 1.5 Credits
3 Semesters of Physical Education or Weight Training classes (.5 credit per class)
Maximum 1 credit of Phy Ed or Weight Training classes per year
Health- One Semester .5 Credit
Health is typically taken during your Sophomore Year
Personal Finance - One Semester .5 credit
