MIDWEST ARTIST ACADEMY

Uploaded Image

APPLICATION WINDOW IS NOW OPEN!

Each summer the Midwest Artist Academy offers young artists the chance to explore dance, theatre, visual art, creative writing, and music on the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire campus. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to create, collaborate, and explore their work with a talented faculty and supportive peers.

So... how do you know if this would be the right experience for you?

It’s for anyone who’s ever fallen in love with a song, a story, a painting, a dance, or a play. Specifically, It’s for 14-18-year-old artists who are passionate about experiencing art in all its forms—including creating it! You needn’t be “the best” artist to apply; simply someone excited to learn more! This Academy is based on the idea that art is at its best when it’s shared. As such, we’ll be working together to collectively hone our crafts.

The following website provides more information about the Academy, including how to apply - Midwest Artist Academy

POST-SECONDARY PLANNING RESOURCES

XELLO ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP ENHANCEMENTS

Students now have more ways to find scholarships within the extended Xello database, including national, state and institutional opportunities. This enhancement within Xello allows students who wish to pursue a postsecondary education more ways to pay AND plan for their chosen pathway.

As high school students build their scholarship profile, they will automatically be matched with personalized scholarship recommendations tailored for them. Here is what the enhancements offer:

  • A powerful feature that matches students with millions of dollars in suitable scholarships.
  • Having "school-added opportunities" easily accessible.
  • Monitoring and tracking thousands of scholarships, plus the promise that no promising opportunities are overlooked.

For more information as to how Xello can help you and your child take advantage of the scholarship opportunities that are available, please review the Scholarship Guide for Students.
